Bio

John Silva is a Humanist writer and entrepreneur. His scholarship and ventures
are focused on human rights, civic education, and emergent social technology.

Born in Chicago to parentage of Poland and Cuba, his family entered the US as
political refugees, and they served in arts diplomacy for the US State Department.
He was educated at Harvard University, graduating cum laude in Classics, and served
in the US Marine Corps on Yankee White Presidential Duty at The White House.

He has co-founded and consulted for numerous start-ups worldwide, and global
organizations such as iRobot, Harvard Business School and Aga Khan University.
He was a Teaching Fellow at Harvard University for Social Entrepreneurship courses.

Silva is currently researching a book on Civic Humanism and advising start-ups.
